On 22 April 2021, there was day 2 of the kick-off workshop series of the Programme Sustainable Development of Urban Regions (SURE) funded by the German Federal Ministry of Education and Research (BMBF) and organized by the accompanying project “Programme Facilitation & Synthesis Research” led by HafenCity University, Hamburg, and by the Technical School of Applied Sciences, Lübeck. During the SURE kick-off workshop series stretching over 3 days, all SURE funded projects will receive the opportunity to introduce themselves and to connect to each other.
The Build4People presentation was done by the Build4People consortium leader, Dr Michael Waibel from Hamburg University. It was supported by Rolf Messerschmidt, CEO of the company EMP, and leader of Build4People Work Package #3 “Sustainable Neighbourhoods”. Rolf specifically provided insights in regard of the first and very successful Build4People Ecocity Transition Lab, held in Phnom Penh in March 2020.
Parallel to the presentation questions could be posted at the digital whiteboard Miro, see screenshot below.
The whole event turned out to be a good opportunity to introduce Build4People’s approach and particularly its integrative transdisciplinary formats to the scientific community.
