Build4People is thrilled to announce the publication of the video clip documentation of the B4P Presentation Conference at Rosewood Phnom Penh, Vattanac Capital Tower, 28 May 2025.
It was organised by the Build4People project, in close collaboration with Phnom Penh Capital Hall, its main implementation partner, and with the Cambodian Institute of Urban Studies as local project management partner. Funded by the German Federal Ministry of Research, Technology and Space (BMFTR), the interdisciplinary project – comprising four German universities with the University of Hamburg as consortium lead, and two German industry partners in alliance with a group of Cambodian research, implementation and dissemination partners – showcased their tangible results from the project’s four-year R&D phase (2021-2025) and introduced envisaged activities for the upcoming Implementation Phase (2025–2027).
In the presence of H.E. Vannak Seng, Vice-Governor of Phnom Penh, a major Build4People output product was presented: the B4P Transformation Toolbox. Build4People understands this a comprehensive learning platform comprising planning and design guidelines, sustainability criteria, applications, manuals, and additional capacity-building materials to support the private developer companies of Cambodia and state agencies on national, municipal and district level to foster sustainable neighbourhood development in urban Cambodia.
During the Implementation Phase the B4P Transformation Toolbox shall get fully implemented as a comprehensive digital planning instrument and as an interactive online platform for information, public participation, technology, and learning thereby bringing together existing smart and green city strategies in a process called Twin Transformation.
Build4People and Phnom Penh Capital Hall would like to express their deep gratitude to all dedicated partners for joining this inspiring and meaningful event.
