Build4People is very happy to announce, that our project got represented at the most recent World Urban Forum (WUF11), the premier global conference on sustainable urbanization. The WUF was established in 2001 by the United Nations to examine one of the most pressing issues facing the world today: rapid urbanisation and its impact on communities, cities, economies, climate change and policies.
Build4People joined the networking session “Science Meets Policy: New approaches for multisectoral collaborations to build urban-rural resilience for sustainable futures” which took place on 30 June 2022.
This session was organized the SURE Facilitation and Synthesis Research Project together with SURE collaborative projects and German Corporation for International Cooperation (GIZ).
All presentation slides of the networking session can be downloaded (pdf-file, 5 MB)

All in all, the participation at WUF11 was a great opportunity to get an overview of the global stakeholder landscape in the field of sustainable urbanization, to do networking, to connect to other exciting projects and to identify potential funding organizations which my support Build4People in regard of the envisaged implementation phase.
