The Popup Kiosk set-up at the riverside of Norea City, Chbar Ampov District of Phnom Penh, Cambodia, was a participatory intervention during the Build4People Ecocity Transition Lab 2024. It got initiated by the German government funded SMMR project (Sustainable Mobility in Metropolitan Regions in ASEAN), managed by Impact Hub Phnom Penh, and supported by the Build4People, project, Phnom Penh Capital Hall and OCIC Group, the latter being the developer of this site.
The main purpose of the Pop-Up Kiosk was to collect actionable insights into the public’s needs and preferences how to transform Norea City into a vibrant and sustainable place.
During the course of the PopUp Kiosk in late February / early March 2024, the amazing number of about 1,050 urban citizens shared their opinion. We regard this high interest as a great success and sincerely hope that this transformative innovation will get implemented in the future, more frequently.
