Introduction of a new team member of Work Package #1 “Behaviour Change”

The Build4People team warmly welcomes the new team member Dr. Op Vanna from the Department of Psychology at the Royal University of Phnom Penh (RUPP) in regard the upcoming RD phase. Together with Dr. Sok Serey he will work together with Work Package#1 “Behaviour Change”.

Dr. Op Vanna holds a Master degree of Psychology of Child and Adolescent Development that he received at the University of Toulouse Le-Mirail, France, in 2008. He finished his PhD in Developmental Psychology in 2017 at the University of Toulouse Jean-Jaurès, France. Since 2011, he has been working as a lecturer for applied psychology, children and adolescent development and research methodology at RUPP.

On February 4th 2021, Dr.Sok Serey, Dr. Op Vanna and the German team members of WP#1 Dr. Anke Blöbaum, Annalena Becker and the student assistant Marcel Dietrich arranged a first online meeting in order to plan the cooperation during the upcoming RD phase and to discuss the curriculum development with the aim of incorporating aspects of environmental psychology at RUPP. During the meeting, Anke Blöbaum and Annalena Becker shared some insights of the research results and project activities during the definition phase and discussed the conduction of the household survey that was comprehensively supported by Dr. Sok Serey.

Discussing the current BA curriculum of Psychology at RUPP

Dr. Op Vanna presented the curriculum of the Bachelor degree of Psychology at RUPP and reflected on how environmental psychology could be integrated in the near future. This is part of Build4People’s capacity building activities and will be further elaborated during the first Build4People Curriculum Development Summit on March 4th 2021 with all the other work packages with their local research partners from RUPP, Royal University of Agriculture as well as the School of Architecture and Urban Planning at Paññāsāstra University of Cambodia.
